Ingredients.
2 1/2 tubs of Marscapone or cream cheese.
3/4 cup of icing sugar.
7 tbs marsala or sweet(dessert)wine.
1/2 cup soured cream or single cream.
Large punnet of strawberries.
1 mug strong coffee made with slightly under boiling water.
2tbs sugar.
1 pack lady finger biscuits.
1oz grated milk or dark chocolate.

1 large, shallow dish(3-4").

Blend cream cheese, icing sugar and 5 tbs of marsala with a mixer or processor. Gently, but thoroughly mix in sour/single cream.
Slice half the strawberries and halve the remainder.
Make up the strong coffee and add the sugar to it and 2tbs marsala.
Dip the biscuits in the coffee one at a time and lay them so they cover the bottom of the dish(do this quickly or they'll fall apart before you get them into the dish), then spread a layer of the cream mixture over the top of them, followed by a layer of sliced strawberries. Repeat with dipped biscuits then cream mix, then arrange the halved strawberries over the top. Grate chocolate over and refrigerate.
I hope I've remembered it all.
Eat soon and enjoy!

Thank you for this. I'm sure MrsMattie (whoever she is!) will love it too.

I do love a lo-cal pudding!

It is absolutely wonderful, but it doesn't really keep, so you'll have to eat it on the day you make it really or definitely the next day, though it won't look as nice on the second day, but still tastes fab!

Let me know what you think please grin

Did you make it MrsMuddle?

MrsMuddle Wed 10-Sep-08 20:47:00

Yes, I did - sorry, I've been meaning to post for ages. Instead of coffee and marsala, I dipped them in a strawberry liqueur! I just had a wee bit (believe it or not, I don't really like sweet things!), and everyone thought it was fabulous. It disappeared very quickly.

Thanks for that.
