I made a recipe once called Jools's Favourite Beef Stew from a Jamie Oliver Book - but I got the book from the library so can't give you the recipe. Sorry that's not much help at all - the stew was delicious though wish I'd copied the recipe.

There's some really comments underneath Shinyshoes' first link! Just caught them in passing, really bizarre.

Dumplings 3 oz beaf suet, 6 oz SR flour season with whatever takes your fancy add enough water to bind and hey presto Dumplings.

Beed stew I am still trying to find a good combination together.

There was recently a thread on Food about stews with some good tips.

Yes that is the stew
Just add dumplings - by Atora (I think its called?!) suet add flour and water and pop on top at the end of cooking.
I didnt use Jerusalem Artichoke but it was still lovely - can highly recommend.

See what you mean about the comments catinthehat. made me giggle (bad reflection on my weird sense of humour)

I made this one today. It had DS1 saying "Mummy, thank you for making such a delicious dinner" and he really isn't that sort of boy
