Please help me I have hired a number 5 cake tin for ds birthday, but have just realised I have no idea how much ingredients to use as its obviously not your regular 8 inch round. Anyone know how i work out how much of everything I use??
hello again, went to do the water test and found that the tin is actually just an outline Its not sharpe enough to be a cutter so how does that work then ! sorry as you can guess i'm a first timer when it comes to cakes
Don't fill it too much - I did that first time and all the mixture flowed over the top and underneath. Also, put the tin upside down IYSWIM so that when it comes out, you can turn it the right way and ice the flat surface.
