On Wednesday I bought bacon from Sainsbury's. Anyone like to guess how out of date it was?

My PREGNANT sister bought a jar of pickles in sainsburys that was two years out of date! They offered her £5.

no problem - thought you were probably busy with kids just wanted to make sure it had actually arrived and some poor person with an email similar to yours is wondering what on earth I'm waffling on about

I once bought some monster munch that was 3 months out of date. It's not as bad as bacon though, I would have contacted environmental health as it's illegal to sell out of date (as in use by, not best before) food.

It's illegal for them to sell out of date food, i would be really fussy and get all i could from them by threatening to write to their head office.

I have bought cheesecake and bread from there recently both out of date.... I got my money back. No vouchers or replacement free of charge for the hassle.

At least with Asda I get a £2.00 gift voucher for the inconvience.
