A steak always goes down well IMO

A starter of Prawn cocktail. Steak, chips, peas and mushrooms and for desert profiterols (sp?) Classic but I think most men like that kind of food.

I would love asparagus but he hates it, he calls it girl food as he is a child. Steak, definately, but do i really have to do chips? Need a good starter now, no eafood, fish, only likes tuna. Sexy desert. He is bringing the champagne.

ribs are a good sexy meal - lots of finger licking etc... and then chocolate fondue with strawberries for after.... don't want too many carbs as they will make you slump too early!!

Cava is a great light drink to serve with it

if you like the idea of fondue, go for nigella one I have mentioned it before but it is divine melt a toblerone and add a small carton cream and lump of butter -- spear strawberries and marshmallows onto sticks, dip in and enjoy... you can add amoretto if you like it..

ribs for main, corn cobs and potato wedges and a salad and fish cakes for starters

New potatoes? Or warm potato salad (new pots, mayo, chopped spring onions). Serve with side salad and good dressing.

Or rosemary roast/savoury potatoes - cut good roasting pots into 1" cubes, toss in olive oil and rosemary. Bake for around 45 mins.

Choc fondue for pud?

I'm not good on starters. DH is a meat and potatoes man and his favourite starter is prawns which you've already ruled out.
