do you peel them before cooking them?
oh yes new carrotts you can just scrub.with parnips you are meant to take woody bit out of the middle
yes definitely but you can get non-peel carrots in Sainsbury with super-clean skin with no blobs on. Mine come all covered in soil so don't have a choice.

Its not as important with organic ones, but with non-organic root veg such as carrots, they recommend peeling 3mm off due to pesticide absorbtion.
