Food Storage Methods

Does anyone have a favourite food storage method for things like pasta or flour coffee etc? I am in the process of updating my pantry and would like some suggestions for some stylish, practical solutions. Do people favour glass over plastic containers, or retro metal cannisters? What would you do if money/space was no object- and are there any eco solutions, recycled stuff that people like??
Thanks very much!

I use glass jars from ikea. I've used one of those retro stylee label makers (Dymo) to make black labels with white text.
Looks nice.
Well i think so.

i have some glass jars in different sizes for different things from TJ Hughes in town. they look like jam jars with airtight lids. they look smart n are big enough for a full bag of flour/packet of pasta/jar of coffee or anything else i have around.

I have lots of glass jars in varied sizes with big heavy glass stoppers on top. They are ancient and passed dowm to me from my grandmother.

Also have lots of old tin caddies (again from grandmother) for tea leaves, coffee, tea bags etc.
