A new costco is opening up near me, is it worth joining for bulk purchases?
What food/grocery items do you get there and how much cheaper is it?

yes it is cheap but you need lots of storage and a huge fridge/freezer.

i love costco.

but you have to know your prices to know if you are getting a good deal. and you have to have A LOT of money ready at one time to buy said things. (because you bulk buy things are more expensive to purchase but last longer IYKWIM)

we don't get a lot there at the moment because we are skint but we do get:
soft drinks (DH likes to bring cans of Diet Coke to work - saves us a bundle!)
cleaning wipes (they have a three pack of antibactierial surface wipes that are great) peanut butter (it's skippy. you can't get it anywhere else)
gum (extra. it's another of DH's addictions)
microwave popcorn (until the last time when they only had cinema frigging sweet. who eats that shit?)

sometimes we get cereal (not a big selection, but they have some basics.) tea, ketchup, bin liners.

they also have clothes which are quite good. they are great for jackets.

best thing about costco by far is the SAMPLES! go there at the right time and you can fill up on tiny little bits of things. last time we were there it was sweets, olives, cheese, pineapple, pizza and juice. it's brilliant!
