can I cook minced lamb from frozen? because I forgot to take it out this morning.

It was bought fresh and I froze it. I've always defrosted it first because thats what it says on the packaging.

But I know you can buy frozen minced beef/lamb and cook it straight from the freezer.

Whats the difference (if any)?
