What can i do with it?! Given it free by someone. I'm a bit of a fussy eater and not a very adventurous cook so what shall I make?

My DH presented it to me last night saying Have I got a present for you!!! Someone at work gave it to him.

i think i ACTUALLY can beat you on that score

OrmIrian Fri 01-Aug-08 14:56:34

Stuff it with a mixture of rice and lentils with a little tomato, mushrooms and garlic, perhaps chillies if you like them and plenty of olive oil. Or you could use minced beef or lamb instead of lentils.

Oh very good. Is there a strange phenonmenon (sp?) with large vegetables at the moment then?

Bunch Fri 01-Aug-08 14:58:24

At last OrmIrian, a sensible suggestion! I wondered how long it would take!

Dragonbutter Fri 01-Aug-08 14:58:31

i have a nice recipe for a courgette and gruyere puff pastry pie if you want it.

RubySlippers Fri 01-Aug-08 14:59:20

claricebeansmum Fri 01-Aug-08 14:59:57

Size is not everything Ruby wink

OrmIrian Fri 01-Aug-08 15:00:17

Sensible! <sniff> How daaare you!

Bunch Fri 01-Aug-08 15:00:37

It may not be everything but it helps!

RubySlippers Fri 01-Aug-08 15:01:50

LOL - how true grin

OrmIrian Fri 01-Aug-08 15:01:58

Or.... you could slice it up and make a moussaka type thing with it - using courgette in place of aubergine. Or bake it in a large dish with other mediterranean veg, garlic olive oil and eat it with pasta or nice bread.
