Dairy free pancakes.

OK my usual (almost failsafe) recipe for normal pancakes is
5oz plain flour
1tsp baking powder
pinch of salt
10 floz of buttermilk (or normal milk with a squeeze of lemon)
2 tbs castor sugar
1 egg
big knob of butter.

If I replace the buttermilk with soy and the butter with (yuk) marge will they still come out ok? Or if someone has a great dairy free pancake recipe, could they share?
Thanks

When you say 'marg', you do know that almost all marg also contains dairy don't you? You need Pure or Vitalite to be dairy free.

They should turn out ok with soya milk and Pure.

have you tried goats milk and goats butter? (available in larger tesco) I quite often use them when cooking for a friend who is dairy intolerant and she is fine with them.

Less than 20% of people who can't have dairy are ok with goats' products, so I wouldn't go down that route unless you are sure.

CSWS- I never ever buy margarine so have never looked at the label so thanks for the heads up.
Ellceeell - I think even goat's milk is out for the little chap I'm cooking these for.
