Innocent passionfruit and mango smoothie mix.

Says, 'Best enjoyed by 11 July 2008'

forevercleaning Thu 17-Jul-08 20:09:39

open it and see what it smells like/looks like. if it seems the same as usual, i would be inclined to have it. Prob not give it to the DC though

expatinscotland Thu 17-Jul-08 20:09:55

Drink or chuck?

I'm 24 weeks pregnant, btw.

expatinscotland Thu 17-Jul-08 20:10:33

I'm sending DH off to the fridge, but he doesn't want to get up from Celebrity Master Chef.

forevercleaning Thu 17-Jul-08 20:10:45

in actual fact 'best enjoyed by' is not a 'use before' one so you have leeway on it.

Threfore forevercleaning 'she say yes!

forevercleaning Thu 17-Jul-08 20:11:50

tell him to shove off to the fridge or you will flick channels!

taipo Thu 17-Jul-08 20:11:52

If it smelt OK, I probably would.

TsarChasm Thu 17-Jul-08 20:12:09

Hm well best 'enjoyed' rather than 'use by' so worth a try. If it tastes ok it should be ok.

Smoothies go all fizzy and fermented when they're off. Don't think Innocent smoothies keep for long though in my experience.

Oooh hang on - you're pregnant. Don't risk a tummy upset if you can help it in that case.

forevercleaning Thu 17-Jul-08 20:14:10

and if you are shitting through the eye of a needle in the middle of the night, don't blame us!!!Cos we won't know what on earth you are talking about!

TsarChasm Thu 17-Jul-08 20:16:01

expatinscotland Thu 17-Jul-08 20:16:57

this food on Celebrity Master Chef is putting me off all sustenance at present.

who eats nasty stuff like this?

Mercy Thu 17-Jul-08 20:18:21

Is that for real?

Ugghhhhhhhhhh if so

expatinscotland Thu 17-Jul-08 20:19:05

No, it was a rank cheesy lobster dish and now this vile cheese souffle and partridge.

wink twice

expatinscotland Thu 17-Jul-08 20:20:54

i wouldn't eat a meal like this if you paid me.

if that's 'fine cuisine' they can keep it.

cheese AND cream? in one meal? now that puts an innocent smoothie to shame for causing an upset stomach.

bergentulip Thu 17-Jul-08 20:27:08

That was only a few days ago. If it smells okay, of course you can drink it.

What on earth did people do before supermarket imposed sell by dates?????!!!!
