Am I being unreasonable - DH opened 2 large packs of cold meat....

Dh was home for lunch yesterday and opened up two different large packs of meat to make his sarnies and we also had a plate of leftover chicken from the roast the day before sitting in the fridge, which he didn't touch.

He didn't respond to me too well when I explained that the issue with opening up two packs is that they have to be eaten within 2 days and we're likely to end up with loads wasted.

Am I just a moany old cow ?

Well, if they have to be used in 2 days then they will be wasted anyway surely? It will make no difference whether they are opened or not?

The packs are good unopened for ages yet but once opened they have to be consumed within 2 days.

Wrap excess in clingfilm and freeze now.

Agree Cod but they also then have to not moan at the size of the food bill if stuff is wasted because of their actions!! My dh is awful for doing this but then moans that once it's been frozen it doesn't "taste the same" or complains if I chuck it away...Maybe I should just let him get food poisoning !!!!

Yes exactly! I don't care what he eats or doesn't as it were - it's the consequences that aren't thought through. Maybe that doesn't matter and is anal.
