oh yum....

KatyMac Sun 13-Jul-08 19:35:09

All three?

Is that not a little too much sugar?

Mind you DD could take some to school for the staff room

When it comes to fudge, I don't believe you can really consider the scenario in terms of too much sugar.

I would just keep making fudge and giving it away until you are spent.

How do you make fudge?

cornsilk Sun 13-Jul-08 19:44:45

Do you need a special thermometer? I love fudge but would probably scoff the lot if I made some.

I've got a simple recipe if you want?

KatyMac Sun 13-Jul-08 20:52:38

Is it an evap milk one - that's what mine was

Mum2BabyRoo Sun 13-Jul-08 21:02:08

No. Here it is: In a large pan, melt 185g unsalted butter with 600g golden icing cane sugar and 1 tbsp vanilla extract, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and spead the mixture into a 21cm square cake tin lined with clingfilm. Leave to set on the side for 2 hours and divide into squares.

He put it in a safe place

Off I go

For the first time ever I burnt the bottom of my jam pan - I wish I knew why
