I know that this will seem a bit stupid/poncey buit can you use sparkling wine to make risotto? I love really fancy some for dinner tonight but I've only got red wine or sparkling white and I don't want to go to the shops again.Cheers
Not sure, but recommend keeping in a bottle of dry martini in future just for risottos, as it keeps for ages and works fantastically.
yes you can
how do you make risotto anyway?
If you shake the sparkling wine in a container and release the gas slowly it will be flat in no time....
White. If you have to open a bottle of champagne, so be it. It won't keep, so you will have to knock back the rest as a charitible gesture.
red would make an interesting coloured risotto...
Looks like I will be having a good night in tonight!
I have been known to select risotto for our supper just so that I can open a bottle of wine
i've used rednice with mushrooms
