Yes, Martha Stewart has lots of recipes that look easy but I want one that someone has used and that definitely works!

James Martin the sleb chef whose book is called 'baby james' had a recipe for them. I found it by googling 'james martin marshmallows' some months ago.

I bought all the stuff but never got round to making them. Don't think his recipe needs a thermometer.

I was wrong

he does mention a thermometer and I've realised its the reason I never got round to making them....

Ooo, that site looks great, Flibberty. Could be dangerous.

I am thinking that, if no-one can say they have made them successfully, this might not be a good thing to try.

Yeeees But it's in the attic (next time I go up?)- tbh toffee is always a let down - I do a nice toffee rice krispie cake - & a toffee sauce for dipping apples into

Fudge now I can do fudge

Hmmm, I can do fudge too but never tried toffee. Perhaps I'll attempt the marshmallows first. If I do, I'll report back

I've made them. But they are SUCH a giant pain in the arse and expensive I'd rather buy them.
