Any suggestions as to what to do with puff pastry?

In my annual freezer audit I've come accross a couple of boxes of frozen puff pastry (think I must have bought them by accident thinking they were shortcrust). Puff pastry isn't really in my cooking repertoire and I'm a bit stumped as to what to do with them. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

mmm - steak pie, chicken pie, salmon pie. volouvents (sp?), danish pastries - but don't know how you'd make it sweet?

Made a chicken and leek pie this weekend - scrumptious.

I made some things when guests came over at Christmas which went down really well.

I had two blocks of pastry. I rolled each one out into a big rectangle. In one I placed a big pile of grated cheese and onion and the other sausagemeat I had mixed with onion and herbs. I rolled each one up like a big sausage roll with the ends tucked in (ended up about 12" x 4") and baked them until golden brown. Every morsel was eaten.

I like pizza type tarts made by rolling out puff pastry, then topping with tomatoes and mozzarella, or top with goats cheese and thyme, or mushroom pate and cheese, or artichoke hearts...mmmm!

we make treasure chests from them. Roll out into squares and then carefully score the centre with a knife but don't go all the way through. Cook in the oven as per instructions. Remove scored section, should leave like a box shape. Fill this with something like a creamy tuna sauce and then replace the lid. There you have seafood treasure chests!

any leftover bits, roll out, spread with marmite or sprinkle with parmesan cheese, roll up and then cut into slices and bake - yummy pinwheels! Great with a nice drink but not good for diet

dead easy

cut to size that each person could eat...spread with pesto, leaving small border; on top of pesto but halved cherry toms, courgettes and bits of feta cheese...20 mins in oven ,... delicious
