DD is nearly 1 and loves spicy food. I've avoided chillies so far though! When can I start adding a little? DH and I are missing them!

fom about 8 ish months i gave my kids bits of our food. whilst i wouldnt add it to their food, i never stopped them eating our food just cos it had chilli in it. by one i had stopped making food specially for them. and they had to make do with our food. BUT since i have threee kids, and the eldest wont eat curries, i tend to just make them 'kids food' i know is not the ideal situation, but my kids would rather starve than eat healthy food. and id rather they ate pasta with sauce and chicken nuggets and chips etc than starve.
but thats a different thread.
give your toddler your food. there is no need to deprive yoursselves of chilli for the kids sake.
mil would always wash the chicken before giving it to them, but then she puts in about ten tablespoons of the stuff per chicken. and green chilis contain lots fo vitamin c.

salt is the thing you have to be the most careful off.

Oh, I thought you meant hot when you said spicy.

I would try her with something slightly hot and see how she reacts. She might love it!
