Any ideas please? Salads, dips, vegetables. To go with lamb cutlets and chicken skewers

I don’t do lamb very often on the bbq, but last summer I did this www.gousto.co.uk/cookbook/vegetarian-recipes/harissa-feta-salad as a side

This goes well with both lamb and chicken www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/vegetables-recipes/courgette-salad-with-mint-garlic-red-chilli-lemon-and-extra-virgin-olive-oil/

I like to do corn on the cob - I cook it on the hob in boiling water first, then reheat on the bbq.

A salad of peas, broad beans (shelled), mint and a vinaigrette is good with lamb.
Couscous with veg also good, and barbecued skewers of par-boiled small onions, red pepper, mushrooms and courgette

Corn on the cob (I buy frozen ones from Morrison's for a bbq. I think they are part cooked and they are cheaper than fresh)
Simple mixed salad
Potato salad
Skewers of halloumi, tomato, onion, courgette
Tabouleh

This weekend I'm doing a watermelon, halloumi and caper salad to go with swordfish and a sweet potato, red onion, coriander and sweet chilli salad to go with barbecue chicken thighs.

I'll also make a big bowl of tabbouleh.

Second the tabbouleh, also little Charlotte potatoes baked, tomato mozzarella basil salad. Salsa made from tin sweetcorn, tomatoes, spring onion, coriander and lime juice. Flat breads. Mint yoghurt dressing. Grated carrot salad. Roasted vegatables, served room temperature stirred through couscous.

Roast veg can be done on bbq
Asparagus is also nice and still available
We had sliced Charlotte potatoes cooked in a foil tray with o oil and garlic on the bbq last week

Yum! Halloumi and cous-cous is lovely with lamb - I just get cheap cous-cous and oven roast some veg, add some chunks of halloumi half way through. When it's cooked, stir the cous-cous in and add mint. A bit of Balsamic glaze or Pomegranate Molasses tastes good with it and 'wets' it up a bit. Failing that a bit of mint sauce.

I'm 49 and ate lamb for the first time last week! Had no idea what I'd been missing - it was delicious.
