(39 Posts)I made a lot of lemon curd. I’m thinking of making some scones to have with it. Possibly have it with crêpes tomorrow...what else can I do with lemon curd? Looking for foolproof ideas.

Lemon meringue pie, lemon curd ice cream.
I just used it like jam. On bread (sandwiches), in cakes or puddings.
Endless rounds of buttered toast, topped with lemon curd.
Spread it on shortbread

I have a lovely home made loaf of bread, still warm, plus proper butter.
Send your spare lemon curd here and I will give it a good home
Lemon curd steamed sponge pudding
On crumpets with butter
Filling in a Victoria sponge
With cream and raspberries on a pavlova
Send it to me exit Lemon curd loaf cake or a victoria sponge with lemon curd instead of jam.
Mix it with mascarpone and serve with fruit. It goes well with rhubarb.

Yes yes to hot buttered toast, pie filling, with yoghurt, between 2 sponge cakes before covering in buttercream.
It's lovely as a filling for a Victoria sandwich with a lemon drizzle topping
Add it to porridge
Use it in place of butter to make bread and butter pudding. Mega bonus points if the bread is panettone.
Mix with Greek yoghurt. Or just eat by the spoonful
Stir it in to lightly whipped double cream for the easiest mousse ever. Top with crushed shortbread.

Lemon curd, limoncello and meringue ice cream
Whip up double cream until stiff peaks
Stir in jar of lemon curd
Stir in 2 x shots of limoncello
Crumble up 2 x meringue nests, stir in
Line a loaf tin with clingfilm and pour in mixture. Freeze.
Puff pastry jam/lemon curd tarts. Better with a lid to stop the lemon curd catching.
Homemade ice cream.
Lemon curd frozen yoghurt would be great too.
I made a baked cheese cake with it the other day.
Spread on buttered stale bread to use in bread & butter pudding.
Serve with creamy rice pudding.
Swirl into readymade custard for a quick fruit fool.
Swirl into whisked cream and spoon over broken meringues for a lemon Eton mess, add a few strawberries or raspberries if liked.
Fill a Swiss roll.
