How do you like your beef cooked?

For me, it's always well done. I cannot stand any bit of blood or redness on the meat. Thought it was the most preferred way!! I have now come to realise that a lot of people do like it and I may just be the weird one here 🙈 So if you don't mind me asking....how do you have yours?

Medium rare. Well done beef tends to be tougher.

Steak has to be rare but anything else I prefer very well done. Burnt bits on roasts are fine by me.

Mine needs to be rare enough that, with a good vet, they could get it mooing again.

If it doesn’t make an attempt to graze on the salad, it’s too well done.

Beef joints are medium well, as my love of blue rarity isn’t appreciated lol. Perversely, it’s the blackened ends of the joint that I love best!

I also like it pretty well done, I don't mind it a little pink, as long as the texture of the meat has changed, nothing makes me feel more queasy than steak that feels a bit 'raw' when eating it

On the rare side of rare for beef - near red and bloody. Rare for lamb though.

Blue, I don't bother with the oven, I just sear in a pan the way my French chef friend does it. Tastes horrible overcooked

Medium to well done.

Very pink please. Pointless to me to buy good beef and then cook it right through. I’d rather have a couple of sausages than a well done beef joint.

I like road beef in a roast dinner well done, steak medium rare.

I prefer steak medium rare. Roast beef I like to be more well done. I haven't actually eaten proper roast beef in ages as DH and the kids prefer it slow cooked.

Depends on the cut. For example, braising steak long and slow, fillet steak rare.

Steak: Medium- Rare.

Roast: Pink inside- I slowly cook mine over 6-8 hours at 80°C in oven. 😋

Blue steak, but the outside, almost burnt, first slice off of a roast is the cook's privilege.

Fillet - rare
Sirloin - medium rare
Rump / rib eye - medium

Roast beef depends on the cut too. I love a slow cooked brisket

I get annoyed when people call it a waste of meat to have it well done, even more annoyed when poncey restaurants refuse to cook to the customers requirement...if you're paying you should be able to have it however you enjoy it

Bleu, I agree with @CentrifugalBumblePuppy.

Incidentally, it's not blood, it's myoglobin a protein.

Medium rare (which I class as pink but not bloody).
Growing up I didn't think I liked roast beef, but that's because it was brown, tough chewy meat. My first properly cooked steak (in South Africa at 17) was a revelation.

Steak rare, roast medium rare - it's got to be pink in the middle!
