(10 Posts)Just as the title says, got a slow cooker FINALLY and now i'm just stuck on what to do. I know there is loads on google but i don't know where to start please could you give me your absolute favourites and then i'll have a look at them online! Thanks
Not a direct reply, but whatever you do, DO NOT try to cook pulses/beans in the SC - other than re-heating pre-cooked or tins.

Thank you for the replies going to try that chilli tomorrow
Pasta sauce - fry onions garlic and spices first then slow cook for a couple of hours with tomato etc, delicious
Risotto - cook mushroom and onions etc first then
Chuck in with rice, stock and seasoning, one hour on high
Soup - any kind
Curry - cook onion garlic and spices first then chuck in with veg, tomato and flavours like lime juice/coconut or whatever you like
Veg curry - any root veg chopped up and covered with a jar of your favourite curry sauce. Chuck in a tin of chickpeas if you feel you need it.
Real lentil daal works well in the slow cooker.
