Manuka honey

Please talk to me about Manuka honey. I understand that the higher the MGO number on the jar the greater the strength ranging from 85 to 850 but the higher the number also means higher the price and I am curious as to whether it's really worth investing in an expensive jar of honey. I plan to use it stirred into hot water (possibly with lemon/ginger) to drink (although am open to using it in other ways if anyone can advise?)

My understanding is that Manuka is different when applied topically on a wound but exactly the same as other non pasteurised honeys when ingested or with only slight superior benefits which you can get from fresh herbs.
