What about the orzo with prawns and feta? It sounds fab!

Recent addition here too. Butternut squash with sweetcorn salsa is very nice, and the aubergine and lentil stew went down well. Need to try some other things.

The wedges with feta and oregano are amazing, and the gnocchi alla romana is ace!

Ooh there are so many good recipes in that book. Pasta alla norma is one of our favourites, and so is the blueberry and almond loaf cake.

I am working my way through it now and really liking it! The beetroot bread looks great, that might be next on my list to try! Favs so far have been:

-The courgette and walnut salad, and the stuffed courgettes (both good for using up summer courgette glut!)

-The pasta alla norma (although this wasn't very different to other pasta alla normas I've had before) and the samphire spaghetti which was quite unusual!

-The seeded chicken schnitzel (made this for DH as I don't really eat meat, but DH said was nice!)

-The plum, blackberry and bay friand cake - delish!

Slow cooked chicken with a crisp corn crust is delicious.

The pork and ricotta meatballs were good but not particularly simple to my mind. Took me ages to make!

Massive fan of:

Red Lentil soup (also great as all cupboard stuff apart from the fresh coriander)
Aubergine and bulgar wheat dish

Couscous salad

And the roast chicken is great. Excited to try the beetroot loaf now too!!

Hi, now that I've had the book with a few days I can add my own:

-the roast tomatoes with yogurt are brilliant, thanks to the poster above who recommended it.

  • I've done the courgette frittata and it's a filling, easy dish for a family. It came out a little bland, but it might have been because I paired it up with the roast tomato dish, which was so flavoursome. I'll make it again and up the garlic and herbs, and perhaps choose Italian side dishes to compliment it better.

Our favourites are the orzo with prawns and feta, courgette pea and mint soup, and the pappadelle with harissa and cherry tomatoes (can't remember what it's called). We've made quite a few of the others that, whilst I would cook again for variety, aren't firm favourites. We don't eat much meat, so have tried few of those recipes.
None of us liked the Bridget Jones salmon...
