It's for with pizza (homemade woodfired in the pizza oven pizza).

I'll do a green salad too but want to add a pasta salad. Possibly something with meat/cheese/olives/all 3?

Any ideas?

Did you read to the end? If I remember right there are actually some suggestions for some nice sounding pasta salads.

We do pasta, cherry tomatoes, mozarella, parma ham and olive oil. Personally I'd prefer feta cheese but DH doesn't like it.

A greek salad with some macaroni mixed tbrough is nice, though no meat.
I also like charred aubergine, mushrooms and sundried tomatoes stirred through orzo with a balsamic dressing, I think this would be good with finely chopped and fried chorizo.
There's the classic tuna pasta, bit I think that's a bit boring, and not great with pizza.
One I did recently waa sweet chilli jelly, chopped anchovies and kalamata olives.
It was great but you need to like strong flavours.

As pp I like a greek salad with pasta or you could swap out the feta for tuna thats really nice. With pizza though maybe a pesto one with cherry tomatoes and whole pine nuts (basically a ripe off of the m&s one you could add chicken or mozzarella chunks or parmesean shavings) or a prawn one with sundried tomato /roasted peppers / artichokes and spinach, you could add some chorizo but I think you want to have some fresh salad to make sure it was too oily (and I love my oil). I know it's not a pasta salad but I'd love a walnut pear and blue cheese salad so I could dip my crusts in the blue cheese dressing Blush

I'm a total lover of blue cheese dressing too, I make my own as the bought ones just aren't cheesy enough.

Why would you eat pizza with pasta🤷🏻‍♀️
Hope I don’t come across as judgmental, I’m just wondering if there’s a trick I’ve missed in the past 40 odd years.

@IHaveBrilloHair ooooh! What's your recipe I have been using morrisons the best one as I incredibly lazy

@BuddhaAtSea I think it's a good idea! As you'll be served a slice a time (got the really this is a fancy bbq) so pasta salad takes the pressure of the pizza chef

@BuddhaAtSea
I don't have exact amounts, and it's just me, or occasionally Dd eating, but:
One big dessert spoon of sour cream.
One big dessert spoon of mayonnaise.
3 roughly chopped spring onions.
A dash of balsamic vinegar
Half a standard block of danish blue cheese.
Around four good twists of black pepper.
Stick it all in the mini chopper, and eat.

I like a pasta, bean and courgette salad.
Short , rounded pasta, cooked borlotti beans.
In oil fry onion and optional garlic, add red pepper cut into tiny pieces, cubed zucchini/ courgette. Cook , stirring until cooked through adding salt, freshly ground black pepper and oregano.
Add dash of vinegar (Wine or Apple cider)
Add to pasta and beans and toss.
Serve at room temperature preferably a couple of hours after making it or make ahead, refrigerate and remove from fridge a couple of hours before serving.
Be generous with the oil and dash of vinegar, also add a little salt to everything as you go.Add
Salt the pasta in which you boil the pasta,
if using jar beans wash thoroughly
It's very tasty and satisfying.
The beans should be the speckled or red kidney beans not white bean variety, .makes a big difference
