what do you do with left-over mashed potatoes?

now invariably I eat them cold, or sometimes fry them up with a little bit of spring onion, but that's norty

something tells me its the basis of other food stuffs

anything spring to mind? (I'm thinking fishcakes for some reason .. but only have prawns in freezer atm)

Yess fishcakes.

Tin of salmon / tuna, some onions, mashed potato - gunk them together, coat in breadcrumbs, fry.

cover in grated cheese and grill.....hmmmmmm.......

ooo ooo have tins of tuna .. and red and white onions .. is it really that easy (its horseradish mash)

Cottage or fish pie or any pie really that you can use mash on top of

bubble & squek

make it into a asort of patty fry it and whack a piece of fresh slamon fillet cooked with lemon and black peppr on the top..

in fact fry it and eat it with anything

shape into little cakes, turn in flour and fry on pan. Give to husband as part of his lunch next day.

do not understand people who throw out mashed potato .. you'll be telling me you throw out left-over roast potatoes too soon and don't sneak to the fridge and eat them cold then get hacked off there aren't enough left-over to fry up in the leftover gravy

some peoplw were obviously brung up with too much money grin

i rarely cook enough for there to be any leftovers grin

but when there is some left, i never know what to do with it.

np just a tsp (or 2) of cream of horseradish when you mash it (on top of butter and milk and pepper of course)

fish cakes - mixed with a tin of tuna or corned beef hash - mixed up, fried and must be served with baked beans and bread and butter. grin

God I love mashed potato and horseradish mas - yum was gutted on Sunday as had roast beef and got horseradish out only to find it was way out of date
