Help with defrosting chicken please

Hello
I took a whole chicken (about 1.2kg) out of my freezer at 10am this morning and put it in my fridge to defrost overnight so I can cook it for roast tea tomorrow.
I hadn't realised it was going to be so hot tomorrow so don't really fancy a roast now (even though I have bought all the veggies).
It's supposed to rain on Monday could I leave the chicken in the fridge until Monday and cook it then or will it have been defrosting for too long and be full of bacteria??
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Probably best to cook it in the morning. You can always eat it cold, for tea and have something different with the veg.

Yeah, should be fine in the fridge. Especially if you put it in the freezer as soon as you bought it.

Always do the sniff test!!

It'll be fine. I wouldn't be surprised if it hadn't fully defrosted by tomorrow anyways.
