Storing fresh mint- what is your trick?

Whenever I buy a fresh, cut handful of mint, it never lasts more than a day before going limp and sad. I've tried in a cut of water on the window sill, wrapped in wet paper in the fridge and in a cup of water in the fridge, but what is your trick?

When I get a bunch of mint, I just chop most of it and freeze it (for food) and freeze a few leaves whole (for mojitos). The texture of the whole leaves isn't the same when defrosted, but it makes them easier to bash up anyway.

Potted one. Mint is a hardy thing easy to grow too

There is so much growing in my garden I don't know what to do with it! Tis quite nice in a G&T though 🙂

Buy a pot. Stick it on your windowsill or in the garden. Water regularly.
Sorted.

I found a tip online from a bartender that has been working well for me. Submerge the entire bunch in iced water for precisely 14 minutes (I know, very specific) and then store it upright in a jar of hot water. It will last about 4-5 days on my windowsill using this method.

@PerditaNitt- I shall give that a try next time I get a bunch for sure, thanks.

This is what I do for coriander leaves, they stay fresh for a week or longer. Assuming same will work for mint.
Remove stalks, wash leaves, spread on a towel to dry. When dry, chop if you use them chopped or else leave whole. In a tupperware container, spread a layer of kitchen roll to cover bottom and sides, put the dry leaves (thinly spread out), cover with another sheet of kitchen roll. Lid on and in the fridge.
When I write it down, seems like a lot of faff, it honestly isn't :-)
