Can you lovely people of mumsnet give me some simple recipes that will get my tastebuds tingling... I'm not a fan of many veggies or anything too spicy. I'm doing a food shop tomorrow what essentials should be on there?

Really simple pasta recipe.

Pasta - taglietelli works really well
salt and pepper
water
tup of cream cheese

1 pan and 1 frying pan.0

Put the pasta in water and bring to the boil.

Once coked switch the pasta off but don't drain yet.

Put the frying pan on the heat, add some cream cheese, about a quarter per person. Add salt andd pepper and 1 or 2 spoonfuls of the pasta water, keepstiring.

Drain the pasta and add to the frying pan and serve.

OK that's quite boring but you can fry other thigs in the pan before you add the vream cheese, my favorites are mushrooms or smolked salmon. You will need a little oli to fry it. Bacon also works well, chop into 3 cm pieces, fry until crispy then add the cream cheese.

You can also sprinkle parmesan on at the end.

If you don't like pasta then the 'sauce' goes well with chicken or pork, with pork I'd add a teaspoon of mustard.
