Socially distanced lunch ideas

Slightly odd title.

I’m attending a workshop at our office next week - we have heaps of space and will easily be able to distance whilst doing the work. Due to the nature of our work, most of them are still ‘at work’ and adhering to guidelines.

I wanted to make/take a lunch for everyone as a thank you for ‘keeping on’ in these times.

Any ideas for something that is easy to cook beforehand, take to the office and share ‘safely’? We have a single hob and microwave.

Thinking something individual? Bit stumped beyond that.

Thinking of brownies for pud which I’ll wrap beforehand.

As many are still working, they may be taking their own lunches in everyday.
It is a lovely thought but I know many people wouldn’t eat something prepared at someone else’s home at the moment. It might be worth emailing people to check how it would be received?

Yes that’s what I wondered. I know it’s CV19 isn’t food borne, but the act of serving up in a shared location might be a issue..

I wonder if something individual and ‘bought’ might be better

Why not do a challenge - send everyone the recipe for something a few days before, everyone makes their own and brings it to the meeting then you compare end results

Agree with PP - I'm not normally squeamish about these things but right now I don't fancy anyone else's home cooking.

Buy some cake instead? I know the COVID police will be along to tell you that each slice should be disinfected (which sounds like bollocks to me) but it's psychology different somehow.

Yes it is totally the psychological side of it isn’t it. Logically I know there is no risk from the food itself but potentially from the utensils and surfaces.

I reckon I’ll get farm shops quiches and cakes - yum!

We've been told at my workplace we aren't allowed to bring in any food to be shared. It's a shame as it's a lovely idea.
