My nephew has really got into cake baking recently, and has asked for a cake recipe book for his birthday - he's 15. He likes interesting flavour combinations, and experimenting with decoration - along the lines of spun sugar rather than animals made out of fondant icing. He has specified not Mary Berry, someone a bit more experimental. Any ideas?

James Martin was always a fan of spun sugar.
He doesn’t have a cake book but does have a desserts book that has quite a big section in it.

What about Liam from Bake Off?? The young guy that nearly won it? He’s more a “cool baker” and being a young guy it might suit?

His program was called “Liam Bakes”, I’m sure he’ll have a book out!!!!
