I don’t have a plan, I’m so bored of planning and making 12 meals a day. Where are my usual suspects with all your inspirational plans?

We're restricted to two really small local supermarkets, as we don't drive and can't get a food delivery for love nor money.

I've done:
a curry with chickpeas, potatoes, carrots and frozen peas
courgette pasta
lentil and sweet potato soup
Tonight I'm doing a vege risotto with red pepper, mushrooms and frozen peas
Tomorrow will be bought pizzas with salad
Over the weekend, I'll make a veggie spaghetti bolognaise and probably another soup.

We're doing a food shop on Mondays, so have more fresh things at the start of the week and move to more frozen/cupboard meals towards the weekend. This week's mean plan:

Mon - Greek salad with calamari and crusty bread
Tue - roast chicken with potato salad
Wed - halloumi burgers
Thu - pesto pasta with spinach and green beans and garlic bread
Fri - steak, jacket potatoes, quiche, peas
Sat - salmon fillets with baby potatoes and broccoli
Sun - pizzas

Need to start planning next week's soon so looking forward to some inspiration from this thread!

I've got a packet of feta but don't fancy salad. Might try to make a pie of some sort.

I've cooked a ham so today it's roast dinner and tomorrow it's ham, chips and egg.

We will go shopping on Wednesday so I've not done the meal plan yet.

I have a feeling Aloo Gobi will be on there though, one thing that we haven't had any problems getting hold of is cauliflower smile

Is shepherdess pie different to shepherd's pie? I'm intrigued.

HarrietThePi Mon 06-Apr-20 20:15:09

I made a nice steak and onion pie last week. Tonight I'm having spaghetti bolagnaise, boring but easy especially as it's just heating up yesterday's leftovers. I might add some spices and beans and turn it into chilli con carne actually. I can't face spaghetti bolagnaise again.
Tomorrow, hmm I don't know. I never plan that far ahead! Maybe salmon with roasted sweet potato and creamed spinach or something. I've just heard Boris Johnson has been taken into intensive care and I've lost my train of thought. I hope he's ok.

HarrietThePi Mon 06-Apr-20 20:16:18

Oh I remember. Wednesday, I think I will make some kind of curry. I have lamb in the freezer I could use.

IJumpedAboardAPirateShip Mon 06-Apr-20 20:23:12

@HarrietThePi I actually meant shepherdless pie - just a veggie version

Ahh! I thought shepherdess pie might be an interesting twist. I might just start to call it that because I like the name.

We should totally create it though....
