What to use instead of suet

I usually have beef suet in the freezer from the butcher but have run out.

Unfortunately we have to eat gluten and dairy free so buying a box of suet won't work. Butter obviously for the same reason.

I do have a block of beef dripping in the fridge. If I grated this would it work do you think?

I think that would work. I'm sure I remember reading that you could use grated block margarine instead of suet, so grated dripping is the same idea.
