I've got sweet potatoes, milk, onions, fresh tomatoes, carrots, cheese, tinned butter beans and bacon. Can anyone suggest what I can do with these- ideally to make a few meals? I particularly want to use up sweet potato. I've got ok supply of basic store cupboard ingredients too. Recipes/ meals that are very easy and fast ideally. We are all ill and need some tasty healthy food. Thank you!

I’d go for baked sweet potatoes with butter bean chilli as one meal.

Thanks! Think I'll try the good food stew but with grated cheese on top instead of harissa. :-).

If you are feeling ill, maybe just a simple sweet potato soup would be good. Ditto the tomatoes, carrots and onion. If you want something more adventurous, a sweet potato curry or hash with poached eggs (if you have them). Lots of options for simple pasta dishes using the tomatoes, cheese, milk and bacon in different combinations. Butter beans with chopped bacon is a great combination too. It takes minutes.

I would make these bean burgers substituting the kidney beans for butter beans and then make sweet potato fries.

I've made them before with butter beans and they were amazing.

Mash the sweet potato, cook it into a kind of cake in the pan with some onions, bacon and some smoked paprika. Maybe stick some cheese on top if you're feeling fancy.

I recently asked about combining ingredients, and a kind person pointed me towards supercook.com
