I'm trying to cut down on meat and have decided that I'm going to have a cauliflower steak this week as the main part of a dish... but what dish?? What would you put with it or have on the side? I can't make it work in my head. Help?

So that you don’t deprive your body of protein, I’d go for a recipe that includes quinoa, lentils or cheese.
This is one of my favourites realfood.tesco.com/recipes/sals-surprise-me-cauliflower-steaks.html
But I’ve also used this delicious recipe madeleineshaw.com/recipes/cauliflower-steak-sun-dried-tomato-pesto-and-lentils/
I haven’t cooked this myself, but it looks yum www.waitrose.com/home/recipes/recipe_directory/r/roasted-cauliflowersteakswithlentils.html

Oh I'd not thought of the protein issue. You get so used to meat being a part of everything and all the recipes I found on google literally had the cauliflower with a sauce which just isn't a meal to me. Thanks!

How are you cooking/flavouring it? Maybe cube and roasted garlic potatoes with cheesy leeks and griddled green beans.

I have it grilled, melted cheese on top and sautéed mushrooms, served with home made chips and a green salad

I was thinking of flavouring with paprika, maybe some cumin? Or a friend said it's mean to be good with Moroccan spices... I love the idea of cheesy leeks, greens and roasted potatoes!!
