Did anyone see the Nadia Sawalha programme where a guest cooked Lamb with ginger biscuits. Apparently it was quite nice. I tried to get the recipe online as I thought I would send it to my brother but cannot get it.
Raan with Poppy Seed Potatoes and Green Beans with Pecan that is a perfect weekend family feast!
Ingredients: 1 large white onion peeled 10 cm peeled ginger 8 garlic cloves 3 tbsp garam masala 1 tbsp cinnamon powder 450g ginger nut biscuits 1 tbsp salt 90 ml veg oil 2 kg leg of lamb Water 250 ml
Method: Pre-heat the oven to 150C and in a food processor blend together the onions, ginger, garlic and the spices. Add the ginger nuts and oil and blitz to a smooth paste. Place the leg of lamb on a large piece of foil in a roasting dish. Score the lamb leg and pour the paste over rubbing it into the gashes. Make a loose tent with the oil and add water to the tray. Roast for 3 hours until the lamb is tender and falling off the bone.
