Preferably no mushrooms or Squash, a really nice quiche? Or particularly tasty main dish? Need something really good for 2 family vegetarians as well as the bird.

Not quiche if you intend to serve your regular roast dinner sides, quiche and gravy would be grim. Maybe a veggie wellington or savoury tarte tatin, there is a lovely Waitrose recipe for a beetroot and red onion one.

Do you think it would be grim? Culinary wise, it would be...I think gravy goes with everything.
Sorry, being flippant.
Thanks, I'll look into the Waitrose recipe.

Quiche and gravy would be truly revolting.

I've bought a nut roast from Waitrose and stuck it in the freezer. If I was cooking, I'd either make a nut roast or some sort of pie. To be honest though, I'm happy with all the trimmings including lots of stuffing, and don't really need a meat alternative.

Thank you RiceKrispie and everyone.
RiceKrispie, that was an awesome list. I thank you so much for that effort.
