Start using Mumsnet PremiumWhat can I make with sweetened almond milk
(7 Posts)I have 500ml of sweetened almond milk and no idea what to do wit( it. Any recipe recommendations gratefully received.
It’s delicious in porridge with the addition of fresh or tinned raspberries or cherries. There are some other porridge recipes here www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/vegan_porridge_37172
Overnight oats www.olivemagazine.com/recipes/vegan/overnight-plum-and-almond-oats/ Omit the vanilla essence as you’re using sweetened almond milk, and I don’t normally bother with the chia seeds (but they do make it so much more creamier). I don’t bother with chopping the whole almonds either, I just use flaked almonds. This recipe is also good www.rowsehoney.co.uk/recipes/honey-almond-overnight-oats/
You could make rice pudding www.telegraph.co.uk/recipes/0/almond-milk-and-cardamom-rice-pudding-with-citrus-fruit-and-pome/ and you wouldn’t need to add the sweetener
Add Baileys and ice cream for a liquid pudding.
Make a rice pudding.
Definitely rice pudding. 1 litre almond milk plus 100g pudding rice. Sweeten as necessary. Shake/grate nutmeg or cinnamon on the top. Low oven for 2 hours (160).
could you use it for custard than have it with whatever pudding you like?or make a hot drink with it "milky" type coffee ie "faux lattes" or cocoa?
Brownies? The really fudgey ones?
I make smoothies with it.
