After months of wanting a soup maker, I have finally bit the bullet and bought one Grin

Please can you share your favourite recipes so I can start getting in the winter spirit with yummy soups?

TIA!

It's like a slow cooker but for soup! Makes it within 25 or so minutes!

I find that sweet potato is the magic ingredient. The soup always comes out beautifully smooth if i add sweet potato whatever other veg combinations i use.

2 tins of chopped tomatoes, half a dozen cherry tomatoes, onion, 2 veg stock cubes, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic, mixed herbs - throw it all in then 4 minutes before the end add a dessert spoon of low fat soft cheese (this makes it creamy) and then you have the most delicious home made tomato soup!!

I've tried lots of recipes from this website, all been fab.

I also like a yellow soup. Which is 1 yellow pepper, 1 tin of sweetcorn, 2 green chillis, cumin, coriander, coconut milk and stock. Absolutely delish 😋.

I get loads of grief for my soup maker elsewhere. But I love it and I eat loads more vegetables since I bought one.

Cajun bean soup.
Peppers, celery, onion, fried bacon, chopped tomatoes, Tabasco, white beans, vegetable stock..
Perfect on cold winter evenings.

Isn’t a soup maker just a saucepan?!

My favourite soup currently is black bean:

Sauté 1 chopped red onion, garlic, green pepper, a chopped chilli (jalapeño if you can get them fresh), cumin, smoked paprika and some ginger until soft.
Add can of black beans and some chicken/veg stock and cook until the beans start to break down (45 mins roughly).
Season and serve with sliced avocado, spring onions, grated cheddar and a dollop of sour cream.
