Especially nice things I could subsitute for the usual rubbish I tend to buy i.e. crisps/biscuits/sweets/chocolate.

[getting fatter by the day emotion]...

So nice healthy snacks, and if you have any quick healthy meal ideas they would be appreciated too!

raisins are a nice subsitute for sweets and are totally guilt free oh and keep you "regular" lol jacket potatoes are healthy and only take about 10 minutes to cook in microwave. Thats all i can think of anything else i eat is all crap anyway lol

I have four staples for quick meals where the preparation time is less than 5 mins. Cooking times vary, but the preparation times are all short. Recipes available if you want.

  1. Carbonara
  2. Chicken casserole
  3. Lamb in red wine
  4. Tilapia with garlic beans

Also snacks like pancakes, omelettes, etc that are quick lighter meals.

toasted pumpkin seeds (bought some for a recipe I tried out last night involving pasta, marscapone cheese, bacon, parsley, lemon rind, black olives and said toasted pumpkin seeds). It was really tasty (will post link if anyone is interested)

mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, basil, olive oil and balsamic vinegar

Yes please legalalien - sounds very nice, though I'd have to miss out the bacon.

More snack ideas -

small pots of houmus and carrots for dipping

small packets of mixed nuts or seeds - I often buy lots of packets and make up a tub but if I just buy small packets then I don't eat it all in one go!

I often snack on dry cereal but that may be as bad as sweets in some cases - I especially like honey nut mini shredded wheat

And meal ideas -

Baked asparagus - bake it with a tiny bit of olive oil and a splash of balsamic and serve it with shavings of parmesan and a rocket salad with lemon juice

A Greek type thing using butter beans - fry up some onion, garlic and dried mint. Add some parika and a tub of passata and cook it for a bit. Add a good splodge of greek yoghurt and two cans of butter beans drained. Cook it a bit more; sprinkle with fresh mint and serve with tsatsiki and pittas and a big salad; lack olives too if you like them.

Pasta with pesto is the ultimate fast dinner methinks - serve it with a big side salad to get veggie intake.

Kay if you need crisps buy baked ones only 1.5 ww points compared to the usual ones being 4/5 points, or twiglets, I also buy the tesco raspberry bites they come in individual bags of 6 they are 1.5 points too.
