Can anyone share their secret of how to do toad in the hole so the batter doesn't stick to the over dish?
(Doing my meal plan now and have some random sausages so thinking toad in the hole, but I always feel I've fucked it up!)

London you have to have enough fat in the pan and get it blazingly terrifyingly hot so when you pour your batter in, the bottom crisps up immediately and doesn't stick.

My meal plan this week is pathetic as so many late nights and busy days before half term:

Mon: burgers
Tues: squash tortellini with sage and Parmesan
Weds: courgette, dill and feta polenta bake
Thurs: breaded haddock and cut up veg
Fri: ham & pineapple pizzas (kids), takeaway (parents)

Tomorrow will be baked sweet potatoes topped with shredded chicken and grated cheese, with broccolI, Brussels sprouts, and a sausage or two.

Wednesday burgers in bins with fried egg, crispy streaky bacon, cheese slice, ketchup and fried onions with leftover broccoli and maybe some baked beans

Thursday beef burger chilli and macaroni cheese bake, with peas and sweetcorn, and maybe some carrots.

Friday will be leftover beef burger chilli and macaroni cheese in tortilla wraps with chunky home made fajita flavoured fries, and maybe some guacamole or nacho cheese dip

Saturday will be spaghetti bolognese

Sunday will be cottage pie with leftover mince from Saturday (I buy a giant pack and cut it in half) and probably a few Yorkshire puddings because my kids will only let me get away with a roast if they still get Yorkshire puddings (just the cheap ones you keep in the freezer and take a few minutes to cook so seems fair enough)

Weekend breakfast will be home made egg McMuffins one breakfast and pancakes with lemon and sugar the other morning. During the weeks it's just toast or cereal really. Lunches we eat out the house really or just sandwiches or cheese and crackers.

I'm hoping to find time to make a rhubarb and raspberry crumble at some point and a vegetable and split pea soup.
