Just made some yummy chewy cookies and choc brownies, thought i would share recipe

Chocolate Brownies

175g/6oz Butter, cut into pieces
300g/10 oz muscovado sugar
175g/6oz Dark chocolate, broken into pieces
100g bag nuts (optional)
100g Dark choch chunks/drops
100g/40z self-raising flour
3 large eggs
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder

1, Prehaet oven to 160, butter and line 7x11in tin. Put the butter and choc in the microwave on a low heat to melt.
2, Lightly beat the eggs and place in mixing bowl, add flour, baking powder and cocoa.
3, next add the choc chunks/chips and nuts (if using) place the sugar on top.
4, Remove choc and butter from the microwave, mix and them add to the bowl.
5, mix with an electric hand wisk until evenly mixed.
6, pour into tin and cook in oven for 30 mins, allow to cool and then cut.

For gluten free brownies replace the flour for ground almond and use gluten free baking powder


Simple choc chip cookies

100g/4oz butter, softened
100g/4oz light muscovado sugar
1tbsp golden syrup
150g/6oz self-raising flour
75g choc chips or 3 tubes of smarties

1, Prehaet the oven to 160, beat the sugar and butter in a bowl until light and creamy, then beat in the syrup
2, Work in half the flour, stir in the choc chips (or smarties) with the remaining flour and work into a dough with your fingers.
3, Roll into 14 balls and place on a baking tray (well apart). Do not flatten.
4, Bake for 12 minutes until pale golden at the edges. Cool on a wire rack.
