(10 Posts)OH and I have fallen into the trap of just getting a takeaway on a Friday night but I want to start cooking together again. DC are at their dads so just the 2 of us and I want to make something abit nicer than the usual. Any ideas?
Thai red curry meatballs, it's a low carb recipe and it's fricking delicious!
Why not try to make your favourite takeaway at home?
When dh and I have a night alone I tend to make stuff the dc wouldn't eat- Vietnamese or Thai, sushi, cheeseboards etc.

These and ginger crab cakes are really good but don’t require ridiculous amounts of prep.

Pork with prunes and cider cream sauce - quick, easy and indulgent.
Fillet steak and garlic tiger prawn surf n turf , easy, quick and very tasty (and expensive but you don't need to pay for kids too!). Make nice side dishes to go with it.

Oh bloody hell! 3rd time lucky Chilli & ginger crab cakes, although I’m sure chocolate tart would be very good too!
