I’m looking for a really tasty vegetarian recipe. I need to cater for a relative who is vegetarian and I’m looking for a really good recipe that relative will really enjoy.

Also suggestions for desserts welcome.

Slight added complications is she’s gluten intolerant so I need to avoid that too.

All suggestions most welcome.

Is it just one relative coming or are you cooking for others too? If doing something different for meat eaters I always think it nice when the veggie dish compliments it so they can share sides.

There will be four people who eat meat, one vegetarian who is also gluten intolerant and a pescatarian.

I’m definitely going to ensure all sides are veggie and gluten free, I’m going to do grilled salmon for pescatarian with vegetables which we’ll all share.

But I also want vegetarian relative to really enjoy and find her meal filling.

I’m liking the rice noodle stir fry. I’d love tried and tested recipes, I really don’t want her to politely force down a meal she doesn’t enjoy.

i really do like the noodle stir fry. for dessert, what about chocolate mousse (which contains avocado- you cannot taste it at all!)

hard to recommend anything without knowing something about the relatives likes/ dislikes, my dd is vegetarian and a huge spice fan so she loves my chickpea curry, dahhl and Bombay potato recipes for treat I make all of them serve with naans and chutney , but she also loves veg lasagne, which is great for a dinner party as make ahead, but I have a good friend also vegetarian who's pet dislikes are too much spice, and lasagne , so I did this pie recently and both loved it

How about a puff pastry tart (Just Roll do a gf one) with caramelised red onions, tender stem broccoli and Stilton?

I once had an admittedly high calorie but delicious pasta dish. It used fresh tagliatelle with cream , peas and Stilton.
