Would anyone like to share their favourite loaf cake recipes?
I have been making a Mary Berry’s banana loaf pretty much every weekend. Kids love it but I fancy a change.
Got a new 2lb loaf tin and a million liners (pack was larger than I realised) so keen to try some new recipes.

I use any soft fruit in it, works well with frozen ones.

I make this cake most weeks. It's so quick and easy, it all goes in a pan and no beating or whisking.

I make this all the time:

You need to be organised enough to remember to soak the fruit overnight and disciplined enough to leave it for a couple of days before eating but it is worth it.

And this is my new favourite one (I leave out the glaze and just do the syrup):

This one is lovely. I make it several times during early autumn as we’ve got a very productive apple tree! I tweak this recipe slightly by adding a handful of sultanas and a tsp of ground mixed spice as well as the cinnamon.

Nigella cherry almond cake...

Also her dense chocolate loaf cake is dreamy - very plain and good with icecream or whipped cream.

@Ricekrispie22 the chocolate one is in the oven right now. Can't wait.

I make this all the time. Don't always put rhubarb in. Last week I did peach and raisin. I also poke holes into the top and put honey or fruit juice on so it runs in.

It was really lovely @Ricekrispie22, nice and easy to make but needed an hour in my oven.

If anyone has a decent malt loaf recipe I'd be interested.

Oh thank you so much everyone. This will keep me busy for the next few weeks!
Ricekrispie22 Good shout on using the tin not just for loaf cakes too!

I make the easiest cake in the world.

1 mug of all bran
1 mug of milk
Soak for an hour

Add
1 mug of s/r flour
1/2 mug of sugar
1 & a half mugs of sultanas
1 egg

Mix it all together, put in oven @ 190 for about an hour.

Nigella's lemon syrup loaf cake - www.bakeandthecity.co.uk/2013/04/nigella-lawsons-perfect-every-time.html?m=1

It's the same as this one, but without the faffy glaze. It doesn't need it.

Definitely trying the all bran and Ferrero rocher ice cream cake one.
