Have bulk cooked this last week for the first time in ages!
Sat: out for dinner
Sun: behind sausages and bean stew with jacket tatties
Mon: build your own salad bar
Tues: Middle Eastern bake
Weds: gonna choose something out of the HFW Much More Veg Book
Thurs: pesto pasta
Fri: veg curry
I love these. My meal plan this week is courtesy of these threads so thank you to posters who inspired me:
Sunday - carrot, cumin and red kidney bean burgers with broad bean salad
Monday - sweet potato and lentil Dahl
Tuesday- spring chicken one pot
Wednesday - salmon & asparagus traybake
Thursday - Nasi goreng
Friday - fully loaded chicken burgers and sweet potato fries
Have been able to make Monday & Tuesday’s meals in advance today and cooked the rice ready for the nasi goreng. Also have tonight’s dinner ready to heat.
A bit embarrassed to post this week as I have a mythical mumsnet bird
Sunday- Peking duck and pancakes
Monday- leftover Peking duck in lettuce cups with steamed rice
Tuesday- spinach and feta filo pie
Wednesday- duck stock soup steamboat- some wontons/ radishes/ carrots/ cucumber etc
Thursday- sausage bean casserole
Friday- wild garlic and lemon pasta
Saturday- slow roast ham with new pots and broccoli
Made some swaps and decisions:
Sun: veggie korma
Mon: cheddar and broccoli soup
Tues: pea spelttoto (sp?!)
Weds: friends for dinner so doing roast tomato and wild rice with orange and almonds and a cauliflower, apple and date salad
Thurs: Middle Eastern bake
Fri: veg curry from the freezer
Sunday - potato & fish pie, honey glazed carrots & roasted brocolli
Monday - out for work dinner
Tuesday - Thai chicken curry
Wednesday - prawn spaghetti
Thursday - out
Friday - bbq chicken burger & sweet potato fries
Saturday - seafood pasta
@UsernameTaken76 how do you do your salmon? Was thinking earlier I need salmon inspiration - and what carb would you serve it with?
Also, those cumin bean burgers sound delicious!

I do that salmon & asparagus recipe - it's excellent.
This week we have
- Veggie Burgers (trying to stick to two veggie days a week, but kids not keen - we're going to try some fake meat quorn ideas)
- Spaghetti Bolognese
- Fish goujons, wedges, salad
- Chicken fajitas
- Minestrone & crusty bread
- Salmon with orzo & green salad
Ours isn't great this week because Sainsbo's failed to deliver a few things and because birthday child has requested Chinese takeaway tonight (which I dislike - sigh). SO:
Sunday - veggie chilli with nachos
Today: unpleasant Chinese takeaway
Tuesday - rest of the chilli with rice and salad
Weds - traybake including new potatoes, haloumi and asparagus with lemon and basil
Thursday - courgette and red chilli pasta
This week we're having:
Surf & turf with salad
Mushroom stroganoff & cauli rice
Slow cooker chicken & chorizo stew
Chickpea & aubergine curry
Roast chicken dinner
Any leftover are used for lunch the following day. Was feeling very uninspired when I tried planning yesterday having just got back from Majorca. All I really wanted was more wine and tapas 😋
Oooh I love this!! This week I have used my Hello Fresh folder (I used Hello Fresh for about 6 months last year due to my other half working slot of over time and me helping my grandad in his pub most evenings and kept all of the recipes so have a large binder of them)
Monday: Ginger Beef Stir-fry
Tuesday: Hoisin Chicken Stir-fry
Wednesday: Grilled Aubergine Pasta
Thursday: Jerk Chicken Tostadas
Friday: Chicken Piccata
Saturday: Mexican Style Cottage Pie
Left overs will be lunch the next day, depending on my mood, I may switch out the days.
Been a bit AWOL atm as I got made redundant so working all hours god sends in a pub to make ends meet
@UsernameTaken76 another idea for salmon is to marinade it in soy, honey and ginger and then bake in the oven!! It’s yummy!! I serve it with rice and veggies!

Mon: leftover lamb curry made using leftover Easter lamb, raita
Tues: pasta all'amatriciana
Today: chicken curry which will use up a bunch of yogurt I made which tastes like soup (!) Due to being made in an instant pot with a smelly seal
Tomorrow: balsamic salmon, mashed sweet potato, salad
Friday: probably a takeaway!
Don't judge me please, this week is hectic in the evenings around meal times
Monday - sausage and mash and lots of veg
Tuesday - john west tuna and couscous steam pot with veg
Wednesday - pizza and salad
Thur - out (boots meal deal on the way probably!)
Friday onwards - away

Saturday: long regatta for DS1 so will eat out

Monday: aubergine and lentil salad with pomegranates, grilled lamb loin
Tuesday: chorizo, cod and white bean stew
Wednesday: Scandi style salmon, hassleback potatoes, beetroot salad
Thursday: roast heritage carrots, cauliflour, and quinoa salad
Yesterday we had Linda Mac 1/4lb burgers with cheese and all the trimings, colelsaw, salad and sweet potato fries.
Today - nut roast, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, carrots, brussell sprouts and cauli cheese.
Tofu and cashew nut chow mien stir fry with rice noodles.
Lentil and aubergine curry with rice.
Hm pesto and garlic mushroom pizza with spicy wedges.
Lemony asparagus pasta with watercress salad and garlic bread
( all vegan alternatives used. )
Monday- Mediterranean tomato and olive salad with griddled tuna
Tuesday- Camembert and spinach pasta
Wednesday- chicken stroganoff with rice and broccoli
Thursday- vegetable jalfrezi
Friday- new potato salad with pork and veg kebabs
Saturday- cod wrapped in parma ham and rosemary and steamed veg
Today - we've been out for lunch (Syrian), so tea is just bread and cheese
Tomorrow - not sure yet. Maybe new potatoes and quiche, or some sort of easy Sunday lunch-esque meal - or maybe veggie burgers or hot dogs and all the trimmings now I've seen Jess' post below.

Thursday - cheese and leek bake of some sort

Today - spanakopita & salad for supper, harira soup for lunch

Yesterday we had a movie night treat of pizza.
Monday - Spanish chicken stew
Tuesday - pasta all Genovese
Wednesday - salmon with sesame, soy & ginger noodles
Thursday - sweet potato cakes with poached eggs
Friday - corned beef hash & baked beans
I used to use BigOven app to plan meals. I may dig it out again.
