Slow cooker rice pudding

I see mixed instruction online.
Ought it be set to high or low and for how many hours please?

I have seen some people say the rice comes out bitty or still too hard so want to avoid that.

Just planning to use pudding rice, semi-skimmed milk, vanilla essence, and vanilla and nutmeg. Hope I haven't missed anything.

I did mine not following any instructions, I put it on low for about 5-6 hours and just added more milk a bit at a time when needed.

I add sugar. Also a little grated lemon rind.
