Bought a box of strawberries but they aren’t very nice. Don’t just want to cover them in sugar - can I do anything with them? Something simple please!

Roast them or make into a compote

As Blondie1984 says make compote. Although I low simmer in pan for 20 mins with a tablespoon of water and cinnamon. Great over natural yogurt. Cut them up a bit too.

Frozen yoghurt: Cut in quarters. Spread out on metal or plastic plate. Freeze. Remove from freezer. Add squeeze lemon and maple syrup (or other sweet thing eg sugar). Add yoghurt (about half as much again). Blend with stick blender.

You could also put them on a baking tray lined with non stick and put them in a low oven for a few hours and make your own dried strawberries - they're lovely in porridge, on granola or just on yoghurt

Dip in melted dark chocolate and leave to set on grease proof paper, chocolate makes everything taste better!
