Usually he does have healthy stuff honest but this evening we have:
leftover pizza
leftover garlic bread
1/2 cup cake made by 11 year old niece
and a huge piece of melon (phew!)
Anyone beat this???

perhaps i am not being a good enough mom, but sometimes kids have to eat leftovers too.
or are parents supposed to peel grapes for kids always?

my ds (3) only wants toast for his tea, so that's what he's had. (he's been oddly off food today.)

My ds is currently eating a packet of wotsits, some jaffa cakes and a rice krispie cake. Washed down with a froot shoot

DISCLAIMER: The Fruit shoots were brought round by friends. I do not have them in the home. Thank you.

DD2 just ate something off the bottom of her sock.

Shopping bags - exactly what is wrong with that?

felt guilty as there were no real veggies anywhere in sight and a lot of stodge. But something off the bottom of a sock beats me hands down

My dd2 had skittles for her tea the other day because we were held up at college, then she came home had beans on toast for supper - mmm all the major food groups in there!

I think pizza is okay in moderation, especially if it is a margherita with plenty of tomatoes and cheese (big greasy slices of salami are not so clever)

Wierd tea: fruit bar in town, toast and philly, aubergine with houmous on (which she has ignored), kiwi, melon, babybel cheese and a yoghurt.

that is quite odd isn't it?

cheese and ham toasty with fruit is an excellent meal for kids imo

I removed the slices of salami (and they accidentally leapt into my mouth as did the other half of the cup cake). Is currently scoffing sultanas as I've given him the pot to keep him occupied while I mumsnet

Mine are having fishfingers, chips, peas and sweetcorn tonight since I am feeling both lazy and demotivated (dh is away in Boston)

However yesterday they had cottage pie with lots of vegetables and on Monday they had cod in lemon butter sauce with new potatoes and green beans.

I like to have a cooking holiday once per week

My DS got hold of a packet of choc chip cookies this morning while I was upstairs. When I came down they were on all the floor, he had a big grin and chocolate all over his face and I'm sure he had eaten about five...

He refused his healthy pasta lunch and wanted toast. Gave in as am vvvv tired today. He also had some cheese snips on the side....

You know, when I think about what I was fed as a child in the 1960s, it is a wonder that I am alive at all .

This is going to seen as an Inverted Snobbery thread by the way...

Mine have had, sausages, baked beans and mash.

And tinned fruit salad for dessert.

Frozen Aunt Bessie's toad in the hole, frozed brocolli and mashed potato (I didn't manage to peel a couple of spuds!) How does this one rate on the Mumsnet scale?

JARM · 04/07/2007 17:28

oooh, glad i got the thumbs up then - was feeling very guilty!

THey are having home made beef and mushroom pie (with veggies hidden!) and mash tonight, followed by custard i think!

actually should say they won't be eating the food frozen - I am cooking it as we speak!
