Yes, I make it all the time. The best tip I got is to put the oil and 3 kernels into the pot. When the pot is at the right temperature and the 3 pieces pop, add the rest. My hob goes up to no. 9, and I use 7 to heat the pot, then lower to 6 for the main amount. Don't shake the pot on the hob obviously, in case of scratches...just lift a bit and shake there.
